These Promotion, Discount and Coupon Terms apply to promotional offers made by Polish Up through our website, emails, social media, advertisements or other sales channels.

These general terms apply unless a particular promotion expressly provides different terms. The specific terms displayed with a promotion take priority to the extent of any inconsistency.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Promotion eligibility
Promotions are available only to customers who satisfy the eligibility requirements stated with the relevant offer.
Eligibility may depend on:
- the products or categories purchased
- the order value
- the customer’s location
- whether the customer is making a first purchase
- the sales channel used
- the date and time of purchase
- the coupon code entered
- available stock
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions are intended for retail customers purchasing reasonable quantities for their own use.
2. Promotion period
A promotion begins and ends at the dates and times stated with the offer.
Unless another time zone is specified, promotion times are based on Australian Eastern Standard Time in Queensland.
An order must normally be submitted and payment successfully authorised before the promotion ends.
Adding a product to a shopping cart does not reserve stock, secure a promotional price or extend the promotion period.
3. Coupon codes
Where a promotion requires a coupon code, the code must be entered in the designated coupon field before the order is completed.
Customers should check that the discount appears in the order summary before making payment.
Unless the offer expressly states otherwise:
- only one coupon code may be used per order
- a coupon cannot be applied after an order has been completed
- a coupon cannot be exchanged for cash or account credit
- a coupon is not transferable for resale
- a coupon may be limited to one use per customer
- a coupon may expire at the time stated in the offer or accompanying email
Polish Up may refuse a coupon that has expired, been altered, reproduced without permission, obtained through fraud or used contrary to its stated terms.
4. Discount calculation
Unless otherwise stated, a percentage discount applies only to the price of eligible products.
The discount does not normally apply to:
- shipping and delivery charges
- carrier surcharges
- gift cards or vouchers
- custom quotations
- previously completed orders
- products specifically excluded from the offer
Where a promotion has a maximum discount value, the discount will not exceed the stated limit.
Percentage discounts may be rounded to the nearest cent by the website checkout system.
5. Minimum-spend offers
Where a promotion requires a minimum spend, the qualifying amount is calculated using the eligible product subtotal after excluded products and other discounts have been removed, unless the offer states otherwise.
Shipping charges, duties, taxes imposed by overseas authorities, gift cards and non-qualifying products do not count towards the minimum spend unless expressly included.
The qualifying spend must still be met after any product cancellation or voluntary return.
6. Product and category exclusions
A promotion may apply only to selected products or categories.
Possible exclusions may include:
- individual polishing machines
- large, heavy or bulky products
- special-order or imported products
- clearance products
- already discounted products
- selected brands or product ranges
- trade, wholesale or quoted orders
- international orders
Any material exclusions should be stated with the relevant promotion. The products shown as eligible in the cart and checkout determine the products to which the promotion has been applied.
7. Sale and reduced prices
Sale prices apply only during the advertised promotion period and while eligible stock remains available.
Where Polish Up displays a comparison such as “was/now,” the comparison is intended to refer to the genuine previous selling price identified by the promotion.
Where a manufacturer’s recommended retail price is shown, it will be identified as an RRP rather than represented as Polish Up’s previous selling price.
A product described as being “on sale” or “special” is intended to be offered at that promotional price temporarily.
8. “Up to” discount promotions
Where a promotion states “up to” a particular percentage or dollar discount, the maximum discount applies only to the products identified as receiving that maximum saving.
Other eligible products may receive a lower discount.
The words “up to” form an important part of the promotional claim and should be read together with the stated maximum discount.
9. Sitewide and storewide promotions
A promotion will only be described as “sitewide” or “storewide” where it genuinely applies across the website or business subject to clearly stated exclusions.
Where exclusions apply, they will be disclosed as part of the promotion.
10. Free-shipping promotions
Free shipping may be offered on selected products, categories or qualifying orders.
Unless the promotion expressly states otherwise, free shipping:
- applies only to eligible Australian delivery addresses
- uses a delivery service selected by Polish Up
- does not apply to international orders
- may exclude large, heavy, bulky or restricted products
- may exclude remote or limited-service destinations
- cannot be exchanged for cash or deducted from the product price
A free-shipping offer applies only where a free-shipping method is displayed and selected at checkout.
Express delivery, specialised freight and optional delivery services may remain chargeable.
11. The $32.50 postage option
The $32.50 postage option is available only for eligible orders and delivery addresses.
Eligibility may depend on:
- parcel dimensions and weight
- the products purchased
- the delivery postcode
- carrier requirements
- dangerous or restricted-goods conditions
The availability of this option will be determined by the shipping methods displayed during checkout.
12. Free gifts
A free gift may be offered when an order satisfies the stated promotion requirements.
Unless otherwise stated:
- the gift is available only while promotional stock lasts
- one gift is supplied per qualifying order
- the gift cannot be exchanged for cash
- the gift cannot be substituted at the customer’s request
- Polish Up may provide a reasonably equivalent gift if the advertised gift becomes unavailable, with the customer’s agreement where the change is material
The value attributed to a free gift should be its genuine ordinary selling value at the time of the promotion.
13. Returns involving free gifts
Where qualifying products are returned under Polish Up’s voluntary change-of-mind policy, any associated free gift must also be returned unused and in resaleable condition.
If the gift is not returned, Polish Up may deduct its stated promotional value from a voluntary change-of-mind refund.
This condition does not reduce a customer’s rights where the qualifying product is faulty, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Bundles and multi-buy offers
Bundle, kit and multi-buy discounts apply only where all required products are purchased together as part of the relevant offer.
If part of a bundle is voluntarily returned, the refund may be recalculated using the ordinary price of the products retained.
A customer will be shown or informed of the recalculation before a voluntary return is completed.
This does not reduce any remedy available for a faulty or incorrectly supplied product.
15. First-order and welcome coupons
Where Polish Up offers a first-order or newsletter welcome coupon, the following terms apply unless the offer states otherwise:
- the coupon is intended for new retail customers
- the coupon may be used once per customer
- the customer must use the email address to which the coupon was issued
- the discount applies only to eligible products
- shipping charges are excluded from the discount
- the coupon cannot normally be combined with another coupon
- the coupon must be used before its stated expiry
Polish Up may reasonably limit the offer to one use per person, email address, billing address or household to prevent duplicate or abusive registrations.
16. Current 5% first-order offer
Where the Polish Up website or subscription form displays a 5% first-order offer:
- the customer must successfully subscribe using a valid email address
- the coupon will be sent or displayed after the subscription process is completed
- the coupon provides 5% off eligible product prices on the customer’s first qualifying order
- shipping charges are not discounted
- the coupon is single-use
- the coupon cannot normally be combined with another coupon or automatic discount
- excluded products or categories will be identified with the offer or during checkout
Customers may unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Unsubscribing does not affect an order already placed or remove the right to use a valid coupon before its expiry, unless the specific offer clearly states otherwise.
17. Automatic discounts
Some discounts may be applied automatically when qualifying products are added to the cart.
The order summary will show whether the automatic discount has been applied.
Unless expressly permitted, an automatic promotion cannot be combined with another coupon applying to the same products.
18. Combining promotions
Promotions cannot be combined unless Polish Up expressly states that they may be used together.
Where more than one promotion might apply, the website may apply the promotion producing the permitted discount under the checkout rules.
Customers should review the order summary before payment and contact Polish Up before completing the order if the expected promotion is not displayed.
19. Stock availability
Promotions are subject to stock availability.
Polish Up will not deliberately advertise promotional products without a reasonable basis for expecting that stock can be supplied during the advertised period.
Where unexpected demand or a stock error prevents supply, Polish Up may offer:
- a revised estimated supply date
- a suitable alternative with the customer’s agreement
- a refund for the unavailable product
- cancellation and refund of the affected order
20. Reasonable quantity limits
Polish Up may apply reasonable quantity limits where necessary to manage limited promotional stock or prevent commercial resale.
Any advertised quantity limit will apply per customer, order, address or household as stated with the promotion.
Where a customer requires commercial quantities, contact Polish Up for a quotation before ordering.
21. Trade, wholesale and quoted orders
Unless expressly stated otherwise, retail promotions do not apply to:
- trade pricing
- wholesale pricing
- contract pricing
- manually prepared quotations
- credit-account orders
- reseller purchases
A quotation will identify any discount or promotional arrangement that applies to that order.
22. International orders
Unless the promotion expressly states otherwise, promotions are intended for Australian orders.
International freight, customs duties, taxes, brokerage charges and other destination-country costs are not included in a promotion.
International product and promotion eligibility must be confirmed with Polish Up before purchase.
23. Returns and refunds
Promotional products remain covered by the Australian Consumer Law and Polish Up’s Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees Policy.
A discount, clearance price, free gift or promotional offer does not remove a customer’s rights concerning a faulty, unsafe, incorrectly described or incorrectly supplied product.
For an approved voluntary change-of-mind return, the refund will reflect the amount actually paid for the returned product after discounts.
If returning part of an order means the original order no longer satisfies a promotion’s minimum spend or bundle requirements, the voluntary refund may be recalculated to reflect the promotion no longer being satisfied.
24. Promotional errors
Polish Up takes reasonable care when preparing promotions but errors may occasionally occur in prices, dates, product eligibility, coupon settings or promotional wording.
Where an error is identified, Polish Up will act consistently with applicable law and may:
- correct the promotion for future orders
- contact an affected customer before accepting or dispatching an order
- offer the customer the option to proceed on corrected terms
- cancel and refund an affected unaccepted order where appropriate
These terms do not allow Polish Up to avoid any obligation to honour a displayed price or accepted promotion where applicable law requires otherwise.
25. Suspected misuse or fraud
Polish Up may refuse or cancel a promotional benefit where there are reasonable grounds to believe that:
- a coupon has been fraudulently obtained or altered
- multiple accounts have been created to improperly obtain a single-use benefit
- an order is unauthorised or fraudulent
- the promotion has been used contrary to its material terms
If an affected order has already been paid and is cancelled, Polish Up will refund the amount paid for products not supplied.
26. Changes and cancellation of promotions
Polish Up may correct, extend, shorten or withdraw a promotion before an order is accepted where reasonably necessary because of an error, stock issue, legal requirement or circumstance outside our reasonable control.
Any change will apply prospectively and will be communicated through the promotional channel where reasonably practical.
Polish Up will not retrospectively remove a valid promotional benefit from an order already accepted unless required by law or agreed with the customer.
27. Competitions and prize promotions
Competitions, games of chance, prize draws and similar promotions will be governed by separate terms addressing eligibility, entry, dates, prize details, winner selection and any applicable permit requirements.
These general Promotion Terms apply only to the extent that they are incorporated into the specific competition terms.
