Suggested Polishing Sequence
- Check whether the brass is solid, plated, lacquered or coated, and test in an inconspicuous area.
- Remove failed coatings or deeper damage with an appropriate preparation process before polishing.
- Use Tripoli on a suitable cutting wheel for initial correction on solid brass.
- Move through clean stitched and loose wheels with Multishine or Green Chrome to refine and brighten.
- Select a shaped mop for corners, curves and ornate details.
- Remove residue with Vienna Lime and use Blue Sapphire or Mr. Metal for final hand-detailing and maintenance.
Important: Test first, keep each compound on its own wheel and use appropriate eye, respiratory and hand protection.
