Three-Bar Heavy Cutting Compound Kit – Large Bars
A deliberately selected compound system for surface preparation and first-stage polishing across both hard and soft metals. Each included bar has a distinct role so you can match the cutting and finishing sequence to the metal and surface condition.
What is included
600g
Cut-and-colour compound for softer aluminium, brass, copper and zinc.
800g
Fast economical cutter for scratches and orange peel on hard metals.
900g
High-removal cutter for harder defects with little emphasis on brightness.
Metal and job selection
Suitable across stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, brass, copper, zinc and other ferrous or non-ferrous metals. Select the compound by the metal, existing finish and amount of correction required—not by colour alone. Deep scratches, corrosion and coatings should be removed by sanding or surface preparation before powered polishing begins.
Recommended polishing sequence
Choose Tripoli for softer non-ferrous metals. Use Fastcut for general cutting on harder metals and Maxicut when the highest removal rate is required. Pair cutting compounds with sisal or firm cutting wheels, then move to a separate colouring or finishing compound not included in this kit.
Wheel pairing and technique
Use sisal, treated Airflow or another firm cutting wheel for aggressive compounds; use stitched cotton for controlled refining; and use loose-leaf calico or another soft clean wheel for final colour. Charge the wheel lightly and often. Excess compound adds heat and loading without improving the finish. Clean the workpiece between stages.

Safety
Wear eye and face, hearing and respiratory protection appropriate to the equipment and residue produced. Use effective extraction or ventilation. Secure small workpieces, wear close-fitting clothing, tie back hair and keep jewellery and loose items away from rotating machinery. Inspect wheels and mounting hardware, remain within speed ratings and stop if vibration, damage or abnormal noise develops.
Match each stage with the correct polishing wheel, or compare individual compounds.
