Polish Up • Glass & Plastic Polishing
50mm Glass & Perspex Polishing Kit with Cerium Oxide and M14 Backing Pad
A compact machine-polishing kit for detailed restoration work on suitable glass and Perspex. The 50mm format helps concentrate polishing on small areas, edges and localised defects, while the M14 backing pad connects to compatible polishing machines.
Designed for
Fish tanks, windscreens, automotive glass, windows, Perspex and compatible clear-plastic panels.
Best suited to
Fine scratches, light scuffs, surface haze and small dull areas that cannot be clearly felt with a fingernail.
Detailed polishing with a compact 50mm pad
The smaller working diameter provides useful control around edges, corners and localised marks where a larger pad may be difficult to position. Cerium oxide is mixed with clean water to create the polishing slurry, while the felt polishing system helps refine the surface when used with suitable speed, pressure and temperature control.
Localised control
The 50mm format concentrates polishing on the affected area and suits detailed restoration work.
M14 machine fitting
The threaded backing pad suits compatible M14 polishers. Confirm your machine connection before ordering.
Cerium oxide polishing
Mix the compound with clean water to form a thin, milk-like slurry and keep it wet during use.
Reusable pads
Wash and store the polishing pads after use for future compatible projects.
Recommended polishing method
- Clean the surface completely and identify the work area.
- Mix a small amount of cerium oxide with clean water.
- Apply the slurry to the pad or surface.
- Polish using controlled, overlapping movements.
- Keep the surface cool and wet; never allow the glass or pad to run dry.
- Stop regularly, wipe clean and inspect before continuing.
Important: This kit is intended for fine surface restoration. Deep scratches, chips, cracks or damage clearly felt with a fingernail may require professional assessment.
