The ventilated folded single-section construction helps manage heat while the 250mm diameter provides efficient coverage on larger surfaces.

- Hard-treated wheel: heavy initial cutting after abrasive preparation.
- Coarse-treated wheel: cutting and first-stage refinement.
- Medium-treated wheel: intermediate refinement and pre-finishing.
- Natural calico fine wheel: final finishing and colouring.
Applications and compound sequence
Use on compatible aluminium, brass, copper, stainless steel, mild steel and other suitable metals. Match a dedicated compound to each wheel and material group. Remove deep scratches with the correct abrasive stage before polishing, and clean the workpiece between stages.

The larger diameter requires adequate power, shaft length, guard clearance and a safe speed range. Label each wheel for its compound and metal group, then progress from hard or coarse cutting to medium refinement and natural-calico finishing.
Machine and mounting compatibility
The 16mm-centre wheels require compatible safety flanges and a suitable 16mm spindle or mounting arrangement. Confirm guards, clearances, shaft engagement and the machine manufacturer’s permitted 250mm wheel speed before use.
How to use
- Prepare the surface to an even abrasive finish.
- Isolate the machine, mount the selected wheel and run briefly without load.
- Apply the matching compound sparingly and polish with controlled pressure and continuous movement.
- Clean the workpiece between stages and avoid cross-contamination.
- Stop if excessive heat, vibration, damage or abnormal noise develops.
Safety
Wear suitable eye and face protection, hearing protection and respiratory protection where required. Secure small parts, use close-fitting clothing, tie back hair, remove jewellery and keep snagging items away from rotating machinery.
